The Naseby Battlefield Trail has been designed to allow visitors to make their own way around the battle area, using the information given on this site and the downloadable Tour Guide. In addition, the Naseby Battlefield Project can help people in the ways listed below. Please note that we do not organise guided tours, but we can accompany visitors, suggesting rewarding routes and supplementing the information given on the interpretation boards by allocating a Host to travel with a visiting group. The individuals, members or leaders of the visiting group are responsible for their safety and well-being and children must be accompanied by adults responsible for their safety. The Host acts in an advisory and information-giving capacity only.
School group visits:
A donation of £2 per student head (teachers and assistants free) plus a £15 administration fee in order to get the help of a Host and, if needed, a venue for toilets, seminar space, room for taking packed lunch or catered meal can be arranged at the visiting group’s expense. Please make contact using the form provided below, or email us at schooltours@naseby.com
Clubs, societies, etc:
A donation of £40 per group plus a £15 administration fee in order to get the help of a Host and, if needed, a venue for toilets, seminar space, room for taking packed lunch or catered meal can be arranged at the visiting group’s expense.
Professional Tour Guides:
Advice on local facilities and tour Host accompaniment can be found via professionaltours@naseby.com Donation in scale with services rendered to be discussed.
Access to private land
A special visit is usually organised on one occasion a year and, by request and given sufficient notice, can also be arranged for a particular group to visit fought-over land over which no right of way or permissive access exists. A charge of £15 per head will be made, with a minimum of 10 people subscribing, to compensate landowners. Enquiries to: specialvisits@naseby.com <forward to burton532@btinternet.com>
Special visit 12 June 2011:
Meeting at Mill Hill (on Naseby to Sibbertoft road, just north of the A14 bridge, NN6 6BS) at 10am. Battlefields Trust walk. Please notify Harvey Watson of intention to join – harvey.watson@tiscali.co.uk
